In 2009, Wilson Farms President and CEO Paul Nanula and team presented the Hospice Foundation with a check for more than $40,000.
"Wilson Farms is excited to be a part of Hospiceā(TM)s Sunflower Days program," said Wilson Farms president and CEO, Paul Nanula. "Our team is proud to aid such a worthwhile organization and through the generous contributions of our customers we hope to meet and exceed our fundraising goal."
The sunflowers will be sold exclusively and displayed at all Wilson Farms stores. The promotion will run from June 2 to July 3, 2010.
Last year, the Sunflower Campaign raised more than $40,000 for Hospice services across the state including $16,000 for Hospice Buffalo.
The mission of Hospice is to provide hope, care and dignity to patients who face a life-threatening illness and their families. In Erie County, more than 600 patients each day receive hospice care in homes, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living, group homes, Hospice residences and at the Mary and Ralph Wilson, Jr. Hospice Inpatient Unit located at the Hospice Mitchell Campus in Cheektowaga. Support hospice care in your community by buying your sunflower at Wilson Farms.
