What A History!From one store in 1969 to more than 200 neighborhood food stores today, Wilson Farms continues to grow. Thanks to you, our loyal customers, we look forward to a bright future… but now, let’s take a look at the past. 1978: On June 20th of this year, the first Rochester area Wilson Farms opens its door to record crowds. 1981: Wilson Farms expands into Syracuse and the march across New York State is underway! 1991: Ahold purchases Tops Markets LLC., which includes Wilson Farms. 1997: Wilson Farms celebrates the opening of our 100th store. 2000: Wilson Farms acquires the Sugarcreek chain of convenience stores, with 87 locations throughout New York State. 
2005: Local to the Buffalo area, the Nanula Family partnered with a local investment group lead by Dan Shanahan along with Bruckmann, Rosser, Sherrill & Co., LLC (www.brs.com) to purchase the Wilson Farms and Sugarcreek stores from Ahold USA. Now, locally owned and operated, Wilson Farms continues to grow as everyone’s favorite neighborhood food store! From convenient meal solutions and great coffee to a complete line of grocery, frozen and dairy products, we’ve got it all. Wilson Farms, Inc. Executive Team:Savino P. Nanula – Chairman of the Board and Principal Partner . Mr. Nanula was co-founder of Tops Markets in 1960, with Armand Castellani. He served as President of Tops Markets from 1974 to 1985, when he was promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Nanula became Chairman and CEO of Tops Markets in 1990. He served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Tops at the time of its sale to Ahold in 1991, and then held the position of Vice-Chairman of the Board until 1996. Paul Nanula – President and Chief Executive Office and Principal Partner. His experience includes Tops Markets from 1976-1998, where he held various positions in operations including District Manager from 1989-1998. Paul also served as President of Granite Investment Services, LLC (a financial advisory firm) and President of Nanco Enterprises, Inc., a Western New York based commercial and industrial park operator and land developer. Paul is also a Principal Partner in Essex Homes of WNY, Inc. Daniel Shanahan – Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Principal Partner. He is a former Tops Markets and Ahold executive who recently held management responsibility for the Convenience Store Division at Tops. Dan is also a former Equity Owner and General Manager of a Tops Market Franchise. Recently, Dan was the Vice-President of Finance for Essex Homes of WNY, Inc. (one of the fastest growing home builders in the region and a Nanula Family owned entity). Lou Terragnoli – Vice President of Construction and Real Estate and General Partner. He previous served as President of Terragnoli Consulting (TC), which was established in 1997, and included Design, Construction, Energy Management, Maintenance, Equipment Procurement, Systems Evaluation and Real Estate Development. His clients Included: Tops Markets, Wilson Farms and Sugarcreek, Benderson Development, Upstate Farms, Advance Auto Parts, Dash Markets and Supermarket Management. Mr. Terragnoli also served as Vice President of Engineering and Construction for Tops Markets from 1961 to 1996. Nick Gallegos – Vice President of Sales and Marketing and General Partner. He is a former Tops Markets and Ahold executive, serving nine years as Vice President of Non-Perishables Merchandising and Procurement. Prior to joining Tops, he spent 20 years with Safeway working in all facets of marketing and procurement at the corporate and regional levels. He also served three years with Kmart as Corporate Director of Pricing, and recently as Director of Retail Pricing Services for Unified Western Grocers prior to joining the Wilson Farms Team. |

1969: Our very first Wilson Farms Neighborhood Food Store opens on Englewood Drive in Tonawanda, NY. It’s named after a farm the company owns in Wilson, NY and signifies the farm-freshness of our products! |
